15/02/2005 I CONFERENCE ON THE QUALITY OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES AND CEM ![]() On the 18th and 19th of November, APLEIN INGENIEROS, S.A., together with EMECO, participated as speaker and exhibitor at the I Conference on the Quality of Electricity Supplies and CEM in Córdoba, which was sponsored by the UNIVERSITY OF CÓRDOBA in collaboration with the Official College of Spanish Physicists and the Official College of Industrial Engineers in Western Andalucía and the Ministry of Employment and Technical Development of the Andalucía Government. The purpose of this conference, which is aimed at students as well as professionals, equipment manufacturers and installers in the electrical sector, together with those responsible for such installations, is to create a forum for meetings and dialogues between those who are interested in the field of conducted interference that commonly occurs in electrical installations. This includes the associated problems, analysis, measurement and reduction, together with how it can affect waveform quality and hence, the electricity supply, always within the framework of, and special emphasis on, current legislation. Continuing along these lines, APLEIN INGENIEROS, S.A. through the Electrical Division Manager Doctor Inmaculada Sanz and after carrying out surveys into the current electricity market situation after market liberalisation, tackled one of the most important aspects for production companies with respect to improvements in data acquisition using disturbance recorders in generation. The possibility of configuring a “disturbance recorder network”, together with their synchronisation using GPS signals, would allow all the acquired data, not coming exclusively from electrical parameters, to provide the companies with enhanced competitiveness.
