POWER QUALITY

The expected Complementary Technical Instruction was published in the State Gazette last April that normalises electricity availability. With the appearance of this CTI (order ECO/797/2002 of 22nd March 2002) the methodology to be used to obtain both information relating to power cuts, as well as its invoicing implications are defined.

APLEIN Ingenieros, in its constant ambition to increase its offer for equipment, systems and services for the electricity industry, has developed jointly with prestigious European and American manufacturers the Power Quality range. This range extends from the powerful systems for transport electricity substations, which have been installed in recent years in the European Electricity Power (carrying out the tasks of oscilloperturbography and 400kV grid supervision) to the high performance portable systems for registering according to the EN 50160 standard.

Thanks to recent agreements, we can now complete the range with simple electricity metering equipment with a register of grid control parameters destined for low and medium-tension networks.

COMBINED CYCLE TRIGGER ANALYSIS SYSTEMS.

As part of its permanent wish to supply new applications to the market, APLEIN Ingenieros supplies the main Spanish electricity and engineering companies complete anomaly analysis grid quality cabinets for the trigger analysis of combined cycle generating plants. The incidence that the number of triggerings has, specially during start-up procedure, is well known. Minimising the number of triggerings, allows major savings to be achieved in the costs of both operation and subsequent maintenance. The aim of the systems, integrated by APLEIN Ingenieros, and adjusted to the needs of each specific installation, is to reduce to a minimum the number of triggerings, by means of analysing them correctly and in depth.
