ULTRASONIC FLOW METER FOR NATURAL GAS FLOWSIC 600 APLEIN INGENIEROS S.A. has signed a collaboration agreement with SICK OPTIC ELECTRONIC, S.A. for the distribution of the FLOWSIC 600 ultrasonic flow meter in the natural gas market. Among its most outstanding features are the following: ![]() 1.- Rugged design without wiring external to the meter. - Reduced-size integrated processor unit, with volumetric counters incorporated. - Compact, 3D lengthwise. This length is the same as that of the traditional windmill counters so it is directly replaceable at no additional installation expense. 2.- The only one on the market with straight beams between sensors, without using beam-reflection practice. In this way energy loss is minimized by using shorter paths. - It uses 4 parallel beams and takes the measurement in one plane thereby eliminating the eddy effects in the flow caused by elbows and other interfering elements. - High precision, better than 0.2%. - It has the highest measurement rangeability (Qmin to Qmax) on the market: better than 100 to 1.
3.- The only ultrasonic meter manufacturer making its own transducers. Their small size has minimal influence in the flow profile, avoiding fouling and improving meter accuracy. - A high performance, high frequency transducer (205 kHz), Flowsic 600 is the only meter that can work at ambient pressure. 4.- High immunity to noise produced by pressure regulators, thanks to the straight beam technique, efficient design technology and sensor frequency of 205 kHz.
5.- Mepaflow 600 software allows a complete diagnosis to be carried out of the meter in operation, emitting alarm messages in the event of deviations in key readings which identify problems in a sensor before the failure occurs. It is connected via a Modbus output independent of the metering pulses, and remote monitoring is possible. More news |
