GUIDED WAVE OPTICAL TRANSMISSION PROBES

APLEIN INGENIEROS, S.A. supplies Guided Wave flow cells and probes, ideal for continuous-mode monitoring of process applications. Easily installed either in a reactor through an access port or in ducts, the flow cells/ probes will operate with any spectrophotometer in association.

The availability of different accessories makes them simple to adapt to the needs of your plant.

The body, in stainless steel or any other process-compatible material, incorporates the optical fibre input and output, offering maximum provision for the transmission of light. Typically, the transmission peak exceeds 40%, and the optics, which come permanently aligned from the factory, don't need any optical adjustment during installation nor when changing optical pathlengths.

The optical windows, in sapphire, are sealed to the probe body by means of a welded gold alloy. These materials are resistant to most hydrocarbons and polymers. In the case of very corrosive products, seals are included in special application-dependent materials.

Designed to operate over a wide range of temperatures and pressures (up to 300º C and 2000 psi), they come in several selectable lengths (8", 12", 18", 24", 30"), as well as different optical pathlengths: 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 or 50 mm.

For installation, they can be delivered with a flange, special connections for piping or extraction tool with ball valve that allows insertion/extraction of the probe in the process without having to shut down.
