Si-COAT 570 HVIC (High Voltage Insulator Coating) is a permanent coating
designed to improve the performance of high voltage electric insulators,
even eliminating maintenance costs in substations and high voltage lines
for periods of up to 20 years.By direct application on clean insulators, it almost totally suppresses leakage currents. Si-COAT 570 HVIC protects the insulator from pollution through the generation of monomolecular layer which coats the dirt particles as they settle on the coating surface, electrically isolating them from each other. Furthermore, due to the high hydrophobicity of Si-COAT 570 HVIC, a water-repellant film is maintained, preventing contact with the dirt particles, since they are covered by this layer. This product is able to resist the most aggressive environments: dust, industrial or urban pollution, salt mists, cement or coal contamination.
