SOLARTRON 7828 INSERTION DENSITOMETER

The Solartron densitometer Model 7828, designed for density measurement on line, is not only rugged, compact and with no moving parts, it also incorporates the microprocessor-based electronics to make it a complete system easy to adapt to the needs of a production plant.

Just like in the rest of the range, the measurement principle is based on the resonant frequency of the tuning fork, which is proportional to the density of the fluid flowing through the line. It includes a PT100 which provides the user with the temperature reading and, together with the density measurement and the associated software, allows calculations to be made of densities referred to other density-related parameters: % mass, % solids, API, % volume, specific density, etc.

It has a direct 4-20 mA output signal for density (or any one of the measured or calculated parameters: temperature, % solids, etc.) and an RS485 output that furnishes information on all the measured and calculated parameters, as well as the possibility of configuring the equipment by means of a computer through an RS485/232 converter.
