CHROMATOGRAPH FOR THE BILLING OF NATURAL GAS

APLEIN Ingenieros, sole distributor of the Totalflow 8100 chromatograph made by ABB, has obtained the acceptance of this device for the billing of natural gas. This acceptance means that, as from January of this year, the chromatograph may be installed in EM and ERM for the billing of either Enagas of industrial customers.

The acceptance tests undergone by the ABB Totalflow 8100 chromatograph for the analysis of natural gas were performed at the Central Analytical Laboratory of Enagas’s Technical Innovation Unit in Zaragoza. The tests verified that the chromatograph meets the technical specification ENAGAS E-LC/01 Rev. 2 regarding natural gas chromatographs for billing.

This entails an increase in the number of European countries in which the chromatograph enjoys approvals for natural gas billing: Enagas in Spain, PTB in Germany and GDF in France. A large number of units have already been installed.
